I like that photo very much. The first thing I noticed is the beautiful light. I assume it's late in the afternoon. The orange glow is very peaceful and contrasts well with the people on the left. Second, The bike rider adds some movement to the photo, which otherwise would have none. The bicyclist also contrast old with new (the high rises) and the light just hitting the bike rider is beautiful. Third, the obvious curves are very pleasing to the eye.

Overall, this is a very well done photo with many reasons to make it a very successful shot! Clearly, this is not a random shot!
