Orange And White by *MARX77 The Suggester says: "Squares, circles, lines and a playfull orange arrow. Or is it a man? No, it's two men, one real one painted, and a wonderful composition joining them!"

For those who love photography, there are certain aspects which are very exciting when captured within the frame. For example, shapes - our civilization is full of them and often go unnoticed, unless the photographer composes them into meaning. Also, colours - usually our city is a mess of colours which are usually converted to black and white, unless the artist is able to find purpose in them. Finally, story - our daily life is full of stories begging to be captured, whether of people or places, a long chronicle or a simple joke, they're always documents of our existence and it always takes a storyteller to, well, tell them. And one of the most exciting things is that this storyteller has to be sharp in the mind and very fast on the trigger.

We can find all these (and more) fundamentals of photographic storytelling in a simple shot of a man riding his bike, in the streets of a city. We don't know who he is or where he's going. But we have the picture to dwell on. We have his moment and the street in immortalized memory. You can work these confined elements into whatever you like. It might not change the world, but it can change the viewer's perception of his or hers daily surroundings. It can even take the viewer into the scene, if captured with spot-on technique.

Most importantly it can make you smile.

This is Street Photography. For it to happen, it takes an artist. Mr. Lawrence is a Street poet and a colourful comedian. A talented explorer of moments and a voyeur of life beyond common life. But enough with compliments, he might also be a voyeuristic psychopath. Let's just enjoy this gallery, congratulate his work and leave the rest for his biography (and/or lawsuit).
