:icontheyardplayground: comment: a very nice image. I love the overall yellow color. I love the tricky angle that makes the man seem stuck in the truck  Maybe for the best composition you could have left a little more space on the right side and a little less on the left side. Overall it is a very nice photo, and I also like the detail of those poles framing the man!

Thanks for the awesome feedback, Mary; much appreciated! :D
Though I have to say, this may not look it, but it's by far the trickiest composition I've ever attempted.
Life was so much easier when I used to paint.
Cheers!

:icontheyardplayground: I agree with Aaron. the car is a plus, because it provides the necessary dark for the subject to emerge. The moments don't wait for us, sometimes we are lucky to find them, shoot, and then race for a better compo. Sometimes it's possible, sometimes it's not. That's the beauty of it too. You found an excelent moment, and point of view too, that would look better by loosing some of the right top. 2+1. ;) Great capture, Khuram.

Once you start using you'll never go back. You'll use it even without noticing it ;)
My pleasure, as usual.
Now... See you in Tuesday.

The perspective you have used is just great with head cut off and just the body jutting out of the car. Also the white figure is the lightest point in the whole frame creating very strong contrast. The figure is also placed nicely against a dark background creating a strong figure to ground relationship. For me you didn't need all the context in this frame. There is so much empty space the main subject gets lost in the frame. Also the light wall can be a bit distracting. I would see what cropping up to the edge of the truck does in strengthening the frame (or just sprint closer next time my friend :P )

I think I'll just sprint closer next time - provided he's still there waiting for me, with his head stuck inside a truck.
Awesome critique, Aaron, with very valid points indeed; all duly noted.
Thanks!

Interesting overlap of geometric shapes, which interact each other as a cubist painting, also the broken human figure fits perfectly in the composition.

Faved...

A great mess...
of horisontal and vertical lines...
garnished with the diagonal mesh...
of the railings...

In the middle of the day...
in the middle of the street...
ruining the curb...
Back street hill billies...!

I have a sneeky feeling...
that this...
at the same time is:
Point of no return...!

A little later in the day...
this practical flying carpet...
will take its cargo to the dump...

My headless piglet chuckless...
"Have you seen him"...?!
"I know...I know"...I say and smile...

Greetings Khuram...Jakob.

Oops! Typo. I meant to say, irrelevant, not irreverent.
I hate it when my iPod auto corrects my messages for me.

I had to google that word...
Phew...! Now I understand you much better...
It still makes me smile...!
Your Ipod not only auto corrects you...
It Auto Controls you...!
Khuram...do not hate a machine or a program...
or its makers...but their intentions...!
No use of grounding your phone...
or degrade it into a flyswatter...!
Use Your wit...to get back at your Khurampod...
Give it a nickname for 14 days ...
Like: "Mr uphill"...!

Greetings Khuram...Jakob.

I only use "Mr. Uphill" to check for message updates from dA.
It's rarely used for replying back - for obvious reasons.
All auto-correct/spell/messaging options, however, are disabled on "Ms. Lappy".
Never needed them then, don't need them now.
Well, perhaps... when I'm older, I suppose.
Like 93 or so.

At first it looked like utter chaos, but the second I stopped and focused on the form and value presented before me; the subject quickly became irreverent.
Cheers, Jakob!
