Such a thin line between solitude and sadness. I believe I see more sadness, but who knows? I love the symmetry of this photo- the lines, the colors, grates, brick, stone-wonderful! Heart +fav

I really like this one :) Did you edit the ground to make that spot blue or was it originally like that?

Thank you very much!
The ground was not edited; the lid is in fact blue. :)

This looks quite sad and depressing. Maybe he's just tired, but maybe he's kinda really lost. What a bad place to be in if you should happen to feel this way.

Our own race can really look quite small, even in our own, home-made surroundings.

This one would probably have a devastating effect when blown up to billboard-sized proportions.

Great shot, and the interplay of the colors is awesome. Reds, yellows, browns, blacks - and then two spots of heavy blue. That these blue colors should not be related to each other in the least adds to the solitude in this image.

ABC! The poor fella was merely texting!!
As you know, B, sometimes solitude can be a wonderful friend. I savour our every moment together. :)

Texting instead of communicating? What lonesome business! The disease of the the twenty-first century claimed a new victim, then. :-)

Me, probably being rather misanthropic by nature, I do enjoy solitude. I'm rather alone than being around chatty people who never seem to really say anything. Meaning I have a fair idea of what you getting at here.

But alas! Do you know Ambrose Bierce? And his Devils Dictionary? If you look up "Alone", it says "Alone - being in bad company".  :D

And how would you like that one, found under the letter W: War is God's way of teaching Americans geography.

Ambrose Bierce was born in 1842, and was probably shot to dead in 1914 in Chihuahua, Mexico, when revolutionary Pancho Villa tried to rule an unruly country. Bierce is dead, but nothing has really changed. It's an unruly country still.-)
