Two photos of Ukraine? Oh my. A year ago, no one would include some Ukraine into such feature, I think... And now, two photos?! I'd include something from Fukushima instead of that with fires. I'm kinda shocked to see how everyone's eyes are dragged towards our country, though it's not the only one with recent revolution, and it's not even the most bloody one. Well, at least people worldwide now know that there's such country.
I loved the Pray photo, the national costume in it. It balances all those tribal photos
Thank you for your thoughts and comment. The purpose of my feature was not to "drag" anyone's eyes toward your country or anyone else's , but to merely express through pictures what my good friend, e-l-a-n-i , has so wonderfully put into words, "Despite our differences, we're all the same." While I understand that Ukraine's revolution isn't the most bloody one, but blood 'was' spilled, people 'did' get hurt, and lives 'were' lost regardless.
I didn't mean it was you who drags it... I mean, I now see postings related to Ukraine just everywhere, though recently no one cared. Now suddenly everyone cares. What. It feels unreal. I can't help but feel surprised every time I see it in some new place, though. Didn't expect it in a neutral feature. This rise of attention escalated so quickly, and I have strong but really mixed feelings about that. It's both encouraging and embarassing, because, like, we had to throw such an enourmous fit to be noticed by the world...and it also gives a tense feel like we are now the center of everything, because big political games are played over our head... so every move and every new hurt person might change everything around... Feels sort of related to the quote you've put in the end, eh?..
As for your feature, I just thought that putting 2 pics of the same country and happening is kinda unbalanced since it's a worldwide feature, after all. You should do more features like that in future, since there's a lot of other, different differences on Earth to see
