I've taken a few pictures of people from the back. Some portraits and some street/spontaneous. What I like about pictures from behind is that you get an idea of what a person looks like, but there's so much left to the imagination. With street photography, it's the 'What are they thinking?' scenario. You are left to wonder on what a person is doing. Whereas with portraiture, a well sculpted back can be sensuous and leave the viewer wondering what the person can only look like from the front. I once took a picture from behind of a lady reading in a park on a sunny day. It's a really nice image. Shortly after I took it, she turned around. I had got her best side! But without seeing it, the imagination as to who she was was part of the mystery.
